The Unforgiven Athos is an historical fiction adventure novel loosely based on the Three Musketeers story. In this story, Athos is preparing his leave from the King's service, only to be offered a final task before he retires. His quest puts him on the trail of Emmanuelle Vazet, wanted for many crimes but most recently the murder of Marque Marcel. She pleads her innocence and staying true to his word, he aids in her escape and assists her evade arrest.
What can i say about this book? There's nonstop action and edge of your seat excitement, staying true to any Musketeer adventure. There is also a steamy romance brewing between Athos and Emmanuelle as he slowly learns what happened in her life to turn her into the person she has become. This was a great adventure once you get your head around all of the French.
